3 Reasons to Consider a First Look

There are both pros and cons to doing a First Look on your wedding day.  If you're reading this and are not sure what a First Look means, it is when the bride and groom see each other, privately, before the ceremony.  I do not want to sway you to do a First Look if you don't want to, but if you are on the fence, here are a few reasons to consider it!

1.  If you know you are going to be filled with emotion and would rather have a private moment with your soon-to-be spouse, without all your guests watching. I know before my wedding one of my biggest fears was that I would cry walking down the aisle. During a First Look, you may feel more free to let your emotions out, when others won't be watching.

2.  If you think you will be feeling anxious without seeing your fiance all day, and want a few minutes alone before the ceremony begins.  This can be a beautiful moment for the two of you to share amidst all the hustle and bustle a wedding day brings. It can be a quiet time with just the two of you before you walk down the aisle and say, "I do."

3.  If you want the most time possible for bride & groom portraits.  First Look photos themselves make for beautiful images of a special moment captured. But afterwards, you are able to take more photos before the ceremony because you've already seen each other.  This is a great option especially if there is not much room in the Wedding Day Timeline. You could even essentially get all of the photos done before the ceremony even begins.
