Have you ever met someone and felt like you'd already known them for a long time? That's what my bridal consultation with Whitney and her sweet mom was like. The three of us hit it off as we talked about the vision for Whitney and Micah's wedding while sitting in my favorite local coffee shop. Something else that stood out to me was the way every time Whitney talked about Micah, she smiled. You could tell she was in love with her best friend and could not wait to officially be his wife. When I met Micah later on, seeing the two of them together it was clear they were one of those couples that you just instantly know are perfect for each other.
I knew it was going to be a fun day when it started at the Matron of Honor, Jenny's house with Friends re-runs and puppy snuggles (see photo below)! The hand-picked florals from Swallowtail Farm in Alachua had already arrived, and they were honestly the most fragrant bouquets. Whitney was so happy with them. She was very calm and laid back the entire day, and chalked that up to the fact that she is a teacher! She was a joy to work for and we had a very stress-free day.
The ceremony was at the Baughman Center, a window-lined chapel located on the University of Florida's campus in Gainesville, Florida. The weather turned out absolutely perfect for their Spring Florida wedding (I think we all were surprised it wasn't hotter outside). After the ceremony we headed down to Ocala for the reception on a private horse farm. One of Whitney's special requests was to have bridal portraits with a horse. We made it happen and it was quite the experience! If you're an animal lover like me, you would have loved this wedding!
Congratulations Micah & Whitney! It was an honor capturing your special day.
